Being an immigrant in the country I live in allows me to observe my surroundings from a different perspective and point of view. As an immigrant photographer, trying to engage with a wide range of subjects and filter the world's noise to create a narrative out of disorder, I often traveled in my personal life and work, which was the starting point of Trip Advisor.
Trip Advisor was triggered and influenced by my travels, combined with visual references uploaded by tourists to online travel platforms, and the works of Martin Parr, Stephen Shore, William Eggleston, Thomas Demand, and John Baldessari.
It wants to explore human nature, geography, and culture.
As a visual creator, I want to communicate so that people can understand.
My work is a by-product of the reality of my life. It deals with my biography and society and ties political reality to social reality. It is a relationship between place, identity, image, and gaze.
