Land Views--Alchemy of soil, water and community
Project info

Land Views—Alchemy created by soil, water, and human community.

Nature and culture combine with the land to produce food, support infrastructure, and supply places of wonder that provide solace and renewal.

Humans can subsist and thrive because of their relationship with land. Land supported our cultural evolution from hunting and gathering, to agronomy, through the industrial revolution. The unique way we interface with the earth and its atmosphere reflects both our knowledge of natural processes and the manifestation of different cultures. Going forward we must take stock of what we have and decide how best to plan for the future. How we choose to use resources and sustain our population will shape the land and our lives. We can use lessons from our collective history to protect soil, water, and communities.
