Juxtaposition of photos from different places of the world, apparently random but with a common invisible thread. Every place has its own light, atmosphere and color. Ordinary scenes can become extraordinary. Shadows are related to silent pictures, which are close to the idea of timelessness. A fraction of second to take the picture is enough to express timelessness, a paradox of photography. The setting, different at every hour of the day, plays the same role as the scene at the theatre and is as important as the subject. There is a back and forth movement of the eye between the subject and the setting where the former defines the latter and vice versa. The relation between light and shadow, silence, timelessness, subject and background, the sense of space, are my favourite themes.
