"Bridging Cultures"

A series of portraits that explore the individual identities and ethnic diversity of older people. They were taken mainly in London in a number of community centres and in peoples homes. All the photographs and their personal accounts, were taken over a period of two years with a medium format film camera in a set up studio setting on location. Each individual discussed, amended and approved of their personal account which has been incorporated into the art work. Black and white photographs of their faces and their hands also exist without their biographies.
