'The Plague'

‘The Plague’ is a series of photographs, which is inspired by the experiences with Covid-19. It expresses the hardships for the individual person during the time of a pandemic. A mannequin which serves as a universal placeholder for the individual is placed in different settings like landscapes or in the context of found objects. Its innocence and vulnerability creates a strong contrast to the inhospitable background. The different settings in which the mannequin is placed are intended to evoke feelings like fear and loneliness. The images are sequenced with the threat of the virus at the beginning and the infection and death at the end.
