This new series of photos emerges as a continuation of the previous series where I used my own clothes and those of my father in the woods of my childhood. As meeting and farewell rituals, the silhouettes displayed by clothing in nature evoke absence and reveal signs of an introspective search. In the last photo of this series appears my body: a back surrounded by dead trees.
Like closing a cycle but opening another one at the same time, I begin to enter again into an inner journey. Now the silhouettes are formed by the human figure (my own body) and nature continues to be the chosen space to accompany me on the journey. The absence now is replaced by the presence that the body suggests in this new series.
Various rituals appear as vestiges of this journey that range from death, rebirth, the construction of something new, and transformation. The concept of inhabiting, positioning oneself in space and merging with nature arises. The body varies in shape and its postures are in symbiosis with the landscape.
Exploring the human figure in these landscapes hints at something primitive and enigmatic, being aware that one is part of nature and one must reestablish links with the maternal source. The landscapes are closely related to the sense of mood they represent and the atmosphere they generate is emphasized by the performance of the human figure.
These images of absence and presence, which are repeated in the series, are part of the cycles that I experience in my life, as an emotional autobiographical record of my experiences
