Berge - der Augenblick ist Gegenwart
... after a few minutes walk you are out of all the "ski ruble" and the crowds and suddenly alone in a magnificent winter mountain landscape - silence and breathtaking, timeless beauty.
It's like entering a parallel world through a gate. Into a quiet, timeless world - only surrounded by a majestic mountain world. The pictures radiate this silence or calm - they consciously want to appear static and convey a feeling of immutability. And yet the pictures also have something unreal and fragile.
Perhaps this is due to the knowledge and experience that no thing and no mountain is unchangeable, but in the end everything changes and thus is transient without losing dignity and beauty ... perhaps it is also a very personal attempt to visually approach something that is very difficult to grasp: the feeling of the stability of one's own person and the simultaneous knowledge that it is constantly changing.
The first photos for this project were taken in 2015 and since then I have continued to photograph the project every year during my winter holiday, initially on foot - now mostly with snowshoes.
It is planned to publish first works as a limited photo edition in the form of fine art prints in the classic photo format of approx. 30x40 cm framed 45x60 cm and as 80x120 cm laminated behind acrylic glass in a small edition.
Sorry for my English – hope it is understandable
