Budhal Diaries

Nestled in the foothills of Guhagar Taluka in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, India lies the idyllic Konkan fishing village of Budhal. Overlooking a silver sand rocky beach with colourful boats bobbing on a deep blue Arabian Sea, the village has 40 homes and families all principally engaged in fishing and related activities. An extremely close knit community of fishermen & women who work hard and know how to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. They warmly let me into their homes & hearts.
