This series represent a selection of photos from various projects, both terminated and ongoing. It aims at showing the stylistic possibilities of the rhombus framing that I have been exploring for quite a while now. It is obtained naturally, using a square grid on the viewfinder and tilting the camera by 45 degrees, so the shooting is spontaneous and quick. Such framing allowed me to experiment original and exciting composition and editing possibilities, like burning parts of the image so that it becomes one with the background. The rhombus also echoes many of my philosophical and spiritual values. As the rhombus can be decomposed into two triangles, the downward one symbolizing the valley, the earth, the yin energy. The upward one symbolizing the dome, the sky, the yang energy. Elements present in everything and everywhere. The background at this point can be interpreted as the non-being, thanks to all the rest is. And being able to bind together all these elements, merge one into another, is a great pleasure to my soul.
