This series entitled “Cascade” is an invitation to look longer and closer at the world around us. Every day, magazines, news sources, and other forms of media present us with images of apparent realities from all over the globe. While this creates a world outside our own, it also poses the threat of beliefs being formed by both the ease of access to images and the volume of availability. Whether it be over-romanticized imagery or war and disaster, I find that the images fed to me fabricate a reality that dictates the way I view the organic, societal, and political world. This series calls into question the images presented and the reality they create.
