The streets of India are a big challenge for any photographer but, as always, where the challenge appears interesting things are not far away. Walking few hundred meters in the markets of cities like Delhi, Mathura or Jodhpur one could witness a wide range of human emotions, behaviors and attitudes. Here, the sacred meets the profane, the friendship meets enmity, tradition fights the improvisation and all is wrapped in a the most unexpected color contrasts. It is on the streets of India where I could finally understand what Rebecca Solnit meant when saying "the magic of the street is the mingling of the errand and the epiphany".
