Human park contemplates the connections between a civilised world and another wilder one through new techniques for human-animal domestication. The wild mares shown in the photographs have been selected for insemination. In his book “Rules for a Human Park”, Peter Sloterdirjk talks about how educational debate on human society point towards similarities with a zoo and he introduces education and culture as techniques for domesticating man. There is a type of zoological theme park for civilised animals where humans are domesticated but also try to do the same with the newcomers – animals. Man is an animal of luxury and he is no longer capable of being a real animal. Man does not have nature, he has history. This research try to answer a number of questions: Why and when did men decide that their relationship with animals would be through theme parks or domestication? Why did man decide to bring culture to animals and make them seem friendly? Why did man quash their natural instinct, their fight? Firstly, zoos can be places where animals are locked up against their will and secondly, the (city-focused) productive or farming side of the human-animal relationship eventually turns into the recreational, educational or sporting part (in the countryside).
