Through this ongoing series I explore the intimacy created between two women. The photographer and the photographed, and the bond from sharing time through a lens. In a sort of undressing ritual, I aim to capture their bodies in the most beautiful and respectful way I can. I want them to be as amazed as I am when I see their bodies, skin and textures, their nudity, through light and shadow. They lay their trust on me as I get close and explore the details of their intimate landscapes. As a result, I believe a bond between us women surfaces.
Before they undress we chat, share some tea or coffee and we get to know a bit about each other. Then we shoot, and we keep chatting. Sometimes the chatting is so fun that I forget I have my camera in hand and that the person in front of me is naked. And they also forget.
Throughout this series I want to show that there is beauty in every body, and just a change in perspective can change how we see the things we hate about our own bodies. I share this series so that more people can realise this. There’s beauty in everyone.
