The allure of Icelandic nature is not least its amazing contrasts and otherworldliness. Traveling in Iceland it's easy to forget you are still on Earth, rather than on some strange alien planet. This becomes even more striking when you view the landscape from the air. The landscape looks like its actually something from a whole different dimension.

Seeing from a bird's perspective is not consistent with seeing from the ground. When you fly and take photographs, shadows lift objects from the ground, allowing the viewer to be drawn into the photograph as if going beyond the real to the more real, ...an incredible blend of softness and ruggedness, warmth and coldness, that characterizes the amazing island of ice..
