It took sixty years but I finally made my Aliyah. I went to Israel full of preconceptions. I followed the world news media's coverage. I was heavily influenced by my personal mythologies that were formed during Israel's early years. I followed the hardening of views on all sides of the conflicts. I These works are my very personal observations. On some I have used extensive darkroom modifications to create a more emotional image that reflects my personal feelings. These help show how I see the whirlwind that is Israel today. Though we live in uncertain times, I am a modern positivist and remain hopeful. These images reflect my very personal experiences and my belief that in the end, it will be in the everyday acts of living side by side that will enable jew and arab to survive together.
