Visual Storytelling Awards 2015

My passion is to bring imagination to life through photographic art. My inspiration to follow this path of visual storytelling began only one year ago, mid 2014. For two decades (beginning in my mid teens) I have been capturing reality in photo form. Meaningful, photojournalistic moments frozen in time for my wedding and portrait clients. In 2011 I gave birth to my first child, my daughter Jazzlyn. Two years later we were blessed with the pigeon pair, and my son Asher was born. Suddenly the thrill and adrenaline of full day wedding shoots became a stressful day away from our children. My desire to find an avenue for my creativity and my business was fuelled by my children and wanting a better life/work balance. Although I'd always been a competent photoshopper and photographer, high end compositing had only ever been a casual endeavour. From that point I threw everything I had into refining my craft and developing a portfolio. I put my wedding and portrait business aside and jumped head first into the world of Story Art.
