Visual Storytelling Awards 2015

I am a youth worker and am privy to a side of society that generally goes unnoticed or is ignored. I come into contact with kids who face adversity in every form, day in and day out and who generally see their way through to adulthood not too badly damaged, some with a little help from the various agencies who operate to assist them, but most with an inner strength and determination that most of us will never have to utilise. It is my privilege to, at times, gain the trust of these young people and be permitted to capture moments in their lives...Jim/Cherry is one of those kids.
