This series has by nature the production of a record document about the universe of the northeastern sertão, focusing on its people, its architecture and its landscapes. The starting point was the desire to travel the cangaço route, a topic in which I developed a special interest and deepened my research at the time. What emerged was a broad record that addresses issues such as housing, rural exodus, drought, hunger, abandonment, neglect and lack of perspective. These are important issues in that universe that need to continue to be brought to light for public knowledge, in order to draw the attention of authorities and public opinion. It's a wake-up call.
