I am a visual artist working in photography and digital art. I think of photographs as dreams made tangible. They represent a physical extension of a memory for me. But I want to go beyond just recording a time and place; I want to capture what I feel in that moment. My goal is to lead the eye through an image with the same effect that a storyteller weaves a tale.
REACH is my series of original black and white photographs of dramatically lit nature scenes that for me evoke a powerful sense of life, death, and rebirth that can only be felt when fully engaged in reaching for these temporal elements.
My work champions some of the hidden and temporal natural treasures on this planet and hopefully challenges everyone to be actively engaged in protecting our surroundings. Promoting this understanding of our world, and our place in it, will help us make sure it is here for generations to come.
