After a hot and dry summer autumn seems like a good opportunity to visit Bretagne in France and especially the Mont-Saint-Michel. My wife certainly wanted to visit the abbye and walk the coastal path, the Route des Douaniers. Actually this path stretches for more than 2.000 kilometers so we only cover a selection of it.
The long coasline offers sandy beaches as well as cliffs. The path covers almost the entire coast line which makes it relatively easy to take photo equipment quite close to the shore.
The ever changing light on the rocks and the water but also the wind and rain or fog makes it difficult to exacly plan the photo one has in mind. I especially like long time exposure photography and have tried to use ND fileters in some situations. It takes some more practice, that I learned but that is no surprise.
