Landscaping Desolation

The port of Le Havre is the gateway to France for world trade and industry. The human absence of the place and the contrast with the nature with which the place dialogues is striking. I feel small and disarmed in front of this man-made spectacle. I tried to capture the places as one might do in portraits. The human presence by such modification of the landscape and the scale of the places is strong and contributes to the poetry of the compositions of the images.
