Ordinary beauty

I am a Danish visual artist with a past in portrait photography. Maybe the love for melancholy and sharp contrasts in my photos is a consequence of my Nordic background. I am drawn into the image-making process as soon as I see a motive that speaks to me. I immediately capture the motive and begin the postproduction to convey its story. From beginning to end it happens beyond words. It is an entirely intuitive process. I am fascinated by the unseen. My art succeeds when I guide the recipient to discover that there is always a hidden calmness to be found in human chaos and a surprising beauty in even our most ordinary artefacts and constructions.
