Museums are designed to showcase art or other exhibits. Yet in most new museums its the building that draws the crowds. Frank Gehry, Daniel Libeskind, Yoshio Taniguchi …. They are the first names we hear now. Does architecture upstage the art? The debate continues.
I visit to see both, but this project focuses most on the people who visit. This work seeks to examine how people experience both the art and the architecture and the stories that I see (or conjecture).
