Walking around Europe or just around the corner with an old wooden view camera on my shoulder. A different way to meet places. A different pace. A great way to meet curious bystanders, and have a few chats, casual or profound.
Keep a trace, leave a trace.
Back in the darkroom, I want the images to reflect the moments captured. Slow. Iconic. Out of time. Developed with sponges and brushes, the photographs look like black and white paintings. Surreal. Landscapes of dreams, brush-strokes and stains in the sky. Traces left on every image, isn’t that how memory works ?
