Brazil's far-right President-elected, Jair Bolsonaro promised in his campaign he will merge environment and agriculture ministries to reduce government spending and further encourage agribusiness development in the country. Bolsonaro is backed by a powerful agro-industrial lobby.
In practice, this act imperils several Brazilian biomes, mainly the Amazon that suffers from the pressure of agribusiness to increase the deforesting to make pastures for the cattle and monoculture plantations like the soybean.
This series was first crafted with the aim of holding the attention of the viewer to the inverted images and reflexes, contemplating and staying longer in front of a photograph instead of swiping them inattentively in the cell phone. Due we are facing a scenario that evilly threatens the Brazilian environment with a high possibility of a global impact, I invite the viewer to reflect, protect and resist.
