Trying to act casual

We follow paths, rules, conventions, routines, desires. Sometimes these choices are conscious, sometimes they are not. The street is a transitional space, a public space of movement and guarded interaction. A place to project our persona - and this display of identity in motion interests me. We are the softest, most fluid part of the urban landscape. The path we take, the way we move, the clothing we wear, the eye contact we make, the façades we pass, in this ordered yet random habitat. The shape and the colour of the public self.
