Life is captured instantly in its most digital way these days, fitting into the perfected boxes. But it forgets to frame depth, authenticity, and undercurrents.
Here, it is a journey to the beginnings of things, feelings, and being, of subjects by rerouting the process through an 18th-century alternative photographic process. The emotions and imaginations of me have taken its flow from the digital image to Chlorophyll printing.
Chlorophyll printing is an alternative photographic process where photographic images are developed on natural leaves through the action of photosynthesis. No use of chemicals. Tree leaves are canvases that have their contours and veins that provide a visual balance and harmony in the composition, establishing a dialogue between the original photography and the natural structure of the leaf.
This journey of witnessing the mysterious ways in which light converse with nature, brings out the originality and rawness of the subjects. We all are seasons, and so do these subjects. It takes its form, shape, and spread of its own like a river finding its undercurrents in silence through these images.
Let the subjects in this artwork be themselves and breathed a fresh life where they can be fearlessly authentic, unapologetically original, and unquestionably true to themselves.
