In Search Of

I make pictures of the landscape in search of an experience that isn’t visible to the naked eye. To aid me in this process, I photograph with film that is pre-fogged with colored shapes. This introduces chance operation because I can’t predict how the fogged shapes will line up with each frame. Giving up some control in this way, creates a sense of wonder and mystery and helps me reveal what otherwise could remain unseen.
