illuminations: the monoliths

There are about three hundred trees which are alive for more than 800 hundred years. in Japan Most of trees stand in the shrines as a sacred tree. Viewing many people worship to the tree with folded hands remind a seen of a film " 2001: A space Odyssey " where the apes first contact with the Monoliths I have visited the sacred trees all around Japan, photographed them, and transformed them to "the Monoliths" in darkroom.
