Kantza: Edge of Tomorrow

These ten photos are a part of a long-term project (thirty photos in total in duration of three years) and also my thesis for a degree in photographic studies at the University of West Attica in Athens. In this photographic series, I tried to give my perspective on the big questions raised by the New Topography movement about the identity of the peoples, by transforming the natural environment into a single jumble of iron constructions. "Kantza: Edge of Tomorrow" consists of landscape images of the peri-urban area of Kantza, which bear witness to the marginalization and uncontrolled exploitation of the natural environment by human civilization and, moreover, reflect the quality of life that the inhabitants of this area seek and have .
