Kintsugi is an ongoing series of collages, made using both my own photographs and writings, together with images I patiently collect (most generally without knowing why), that I ultimately re-photograph. Through unplanned and emotional (rather than rational) visual arrangements, this series offers an insight into my subconscious and proposes a reflexion on what makes me whole as a woman. Connected to the Japanese philosophy and craftmanship called Kintsugi, it is a visual and emotional exploration of my own process of building my Self - restoring joy from fragments scattered between two parts of my Life, two languages, two countries and thus building my new patch-up identity connected with golden thin scars. •
