I am curious about people, the beauty of life, the gamut of emotions, feelings, and personalities we hold and withhold. My project It Goes on an On focuses on the hidden feelings and intimate moments that are often hard to explain with words. I wanted to shed light on the monotony associated with the in-between stages of life; these moments may feel like forever but the reality is that they are transient. However, life’s choices and the confusion which comes with them seem to stick forever
Lighting, colour, composition, location, and careful casting are important to my process. They are interwoven to create a balanced contemplative; sometimes eerie scene. Light changes from one moment to the next it is rarely constant, similar to life itself.
I invite the viewer to look into themselves to find meaning. The cinematic appearance of my photographs aims to lead the viewer to wonder what happened before, during, and after the scene presented before them.
