Lava Cake

Lava Cake is a small dessert that has a firm appearance after baking but has a flowing chocolate melt. This project is a series of portraits taken by the Tingting for his friends and classmates during 2019-2021. Tingting uses the crispy outside and soft inside of the lava cake as a metaphor for the emotional surge of human beings hidden under the permeable appearance. When the covid-19 global pandemic is overcome, there is no infinite carnival in the era of fast-running ovens, and everyone has limited gatherings. When parting is imperative, can photos wrap those surging emotions and preserve them as a longer existence.
