This photographic work addresses that vital world between childhood and adolescence. The loss of innocence, the fragility of the body and the purity of the mind lead to a forest full of risks and doubts, of dark experiences and wild life lessons, where all is new and anything can occur. Throughout our early years we live in a state of reverie and fantasy, where we feel completely protected.Now a feeling of separation originates, where the individual being opens up to the real world. We become more aware of who we are, suddenly coming face to face with the life's commitments, responsibilities and moral sense. A journey towards doubts, fears, chance, rebellion, failure, love, frustration, desire, identity, … Because childhood is nothing more than the beginning of maturity.
