Living Embodiment

Influenced by the concept of the male gaze and art history, Living Embodiment is a triptych piece that invites the viewer to reflect on challenging the disconnection between identity and the female body. This is done through using warm colours to emulate the gold lacquer used in the Kintsugi craft to represent Wabi-Sabi; a Japanese philosophy that is known for finding the beauty in imperfections.
