DISAPPEARANCE

Forest loss and damage is the cause of around 10% of global warming. We can’t fight the climate crisis if we don't stop deforestation. As much as 80% of the world's forests have been destroyed or irreparably degraded by human beings. These first prints in the series are silver-gelatines printed by me on 16 X 20 Fomatone Fibre , in my darkroom in Cornwall. To reflect the extent of deforestation, I burned ‘holes with the enlarger, or punched holes directly into the negatives. The series is Work In Progress...
