I am glad that I chose art and that art has chosen me, especially when, as a society, we've been experiencing the most politically charged pandemic the world has ever seen. In an era like this, I witnessed amplified ill-human behavior, increased division among neighbors, compressed emotions, and far too many deaths by a severe virus.
From this, what truly resonates with me is my desire to make visual poetry through photographs—creating images that converge as though they are part of a beautifully composed dance illustrating themes of solidarity, affliction, hope, fear, and social justice.
