The decor in this image is historical, fifty years since it has been decorated.
The man in this picture is my grandad is in his natural habitat.
Norman George Keith Anderson is my Grandad who has recently been diagnosed with cancer.
He has been the biggest supporter in my photography journey and allows me to take pictures of him. This image was taken in the dining area with his local paper in his hands.
My Grandads Friday morning routine consists of leaving the house bright and early to purchase the local paper and coming back home to read the paper in the dining area front to back. The area he is sitting in hasn't been decorated since the 70s, as you can see from the glass pattern and colour. The mustard colouring screams the 70s. I am 33 years old now and with his recent diagnosis, I fear the worst. Images like these will become precious memories and I will always look back on them with gratefulness.
