Esquisser une voie, portraits d'itinérances

At the beginning of 2017, reality made me aware of human precariousness. The look I had on the landscape shifted to the portrait, and thus was born the series "Esquisser une voie, portraits d'itinérances". Continuity of the protocol "Itinérances métropolitaines", the duration of the trips in the underground networks allowed this experience. I observe another landscape, I look through the window frame at the movements of the world, the glimmer of faces and bodies around me. I try to capture traces of this contemplative device. Ephemeral mirror, the image in this series identifies the feeling of fragility that assailed me, I was close to what is imposed on the body, the image fortunately found another way. This crossing of the tunnel allowed me to approach another side, that of our projections, of what we leave of ourselves in the other, or in a reflection. This fragile figure, which is out of focus, and which accompanies us, this transience, this provisional is the emotional proof of our existences. Transcending the ordeal of the body with the photographic portrait accompanied me until this health crisis in March 2020, this quest for the image-glow enlightened the slow elaboration of this double journey, I could not have imagined this.
