Single images to consider

My concerns revolve around perception, how and why we see what we do, and what that meaning brings to us in real ways. My use of photography (not just the images submitted here) explores and records not only the outer world we may perceive as reality, but also the inner world. Picasso said, "Art is a lie that reveals a truth..." and Avedon said, "All photographs are accurate, none of thm are the truth..." Using those statements (and others like them) I seek to entertain and challenge myself and a viewer's perceptions to not only document where we've been but to use the photograph in the present to better predict where we are going. If we are brave enough to look, that internalized abstraction, the realization that the photograph is not the reality it represents - but something else and possibly MUCH more - it can be just as fascinating, intriguing and enlightening.
