For my series, Convergence (2021), I photographed printed circuit boards and then altered the images in post to look like futuristic cities and landscapes. These photographs mimic our increasingly virtual world and challenge our perception of what is real, with each image representing a current or future state of our world.
For my series: Sustainable Retreat (2022), I continued to explore humanity’s relationship with technology, and with the land. In particular, I experimented with digital post-production techniques to create large-scale composite landscape images. The images, bordering between abstraction and reality, imagine a future where people live in the “Metaverse” (a virtual world), while Mother Nature reclaims the Earth, thereby alleviating the impact of global warming – albeit at a great cost to our humanity.
For my latest series, which is yet to be titled, photographed artifacts from Ingenium Research Institute's collection. For this project I am researching the never ending cycle of innovation and its impact on society.
