From The Deep - A shipping Series

From the Deep explores globalisation and the movement of shipping throughout the world. It has been estimated that 80% of our consumables arrive by ship from a foreign port. Vehicle and bulk carriers, are a testament to industrial design guided by function. They are huge, often near silent as they approach port and can, if photographed at the right moment and from the right angle, actually appear quite beautiful. I have been pursuing this project for three years, culminating in an exhibition at the Wollongong Gallery
