This project is about being in a place and not feeling at home.
A known place that you cannot recognise and perceive as familiar, while everything appears to be as usual.
I've recently moved away from home to a beautiful place, a new and unfamiliar environment. So I started taking pictures of what looked familiar, and manipulating with digital collages and postproduction to match my feelings. An alien land started to come out of my images.
Suggestion always plays a key role: in many of the photographs you can only assume that something is out of place, but you can't be totally sure or tell exactly what it is. So you start searching for evidence.
In others, everything reveals unexpectedly, making you realise that in the end your feeling was right.
I choose a lo-fi style to emphasize the feeling of something unexpected shooted in a rush or a picture in a secret document.
