Anxiety is a normal feeling and is often extremely healthy. However, when a person regularly experiences disproportionate levels of anxiety, this situation can become a medical disorder. Anxiety disorder is a form of mental illness that leads to excessive nervousness, fear, apprehension and worry.
Dealing with mental disorders in public can be an overwhelming prospect! The photographic project focuses on exploring the feelings and internal/emotional and external/physical struggles of a person who daily lives with this type of mental illness, more precisely with panic attacks. This is a contribution from a personal perspective!
This project consists of a set of self-portraits, and through manual interventions on these images, with the use of water, ice, pins, holes and light, their transformation into feelings and emotions related to panic attack disease.
