My Country

The title here is inspired by the poem of the same name, written by Dorothea Mackellar. The poem is an ode to the Australian landscape expressing a deep love for the harsh and often heartbreaking nature of this land. I have always been moved by the simplicity and sincerity of the poem. I think my work is a constant questioning of what it is that constitutes my country. I like creating images that ask a question or have a certain amount of ambiguity to them. They are a search not a destination.
