I Can't Breathe: A Search for Social Justice, is a photography project about the stories of the men and women who made a sacrifice to take a stand against racism, social injustice and police brutality that is the scourge of our society. The project tells the firsthand stories of participants in the Black Lives Matter movement. Who has taken the time to give people the opportunity to share their own stories about why they have decided to take a stand against racism, police brutality, and social injustice? Black men and women are still dying as a result of interactions with police, it is a problem that must be resolved. One of the purposes of photography is to document and preserve the stories of people and to bring people together. Together through comprehension of our experiences can we work towards a solution to eradicating police brutality and racism within our society.
