I always curious about relation between city and the plants in it. Maybe because of my family name "叶"(Ye), which means leaves. As my first daughter born, I gave her the name "叶蓁溱"(Ye zhenzhen), which comes from Book of Poetry, "桃之夭夭,其叶蓁蓁"(The peach tree beams so red, its leaves are manifold).
I have seen those plants, carefully cultivated and well looked after for years to fit in the great city plan. It seems they are totally disciplined and will keep their elegant forever. Until one day let slip by giant pruning shears of gardener or been totally forgotten by the city. They run wild. firstly, by gingerly reached out one tiny branch bud, then burst out the great raw vitality. It will take over the whole city soon.
I have also seen those plants, stand in the center of city for hundreds of years. Still so vigorous that although it may be "civilized" when it was firstly been planted. While now, the whole city has to be "civilized" by it.
I would like to see its leaves are still manifold after years. So to my children.
