Beyond the shadow of war

Roma a lot were chased out of their tents by the Ukrainian border authorities and an estimated 400,000 Ukraine’s Roma people besides the trauma of war, have to cope with discrimination along their evacuation route out of Ukraine. In the six months since the start of the Russian attack at least 150,000 Roma have left for neighbouring countries or for further west in Europe.
