THE BEARS

This project talks about the nomadism of polar bears and fishing bears forced to migrate due to climate change that alters the flora and fauna and melts the ice where the polar bear today has difficulty finding seals crouched under the Icenergs. The polar bear photos were taken in the subpolar area that the bear travels through to get to the North Pole. The Churchill Bay polar bear from the subpolar zone has to move more and more to the North Pole to find food. The Kamchatka fishing bear is continuously on the lookout for salmon and has to migrate to this area to wait for the season when the salmon pass into the rivers.
