"Himebotaru" is a small firefly about 6 mm in length that lives in the forest. They emit a short, intense light like a flash. I have been researching and photographing this firefly habitat for 10 years. The purpose is to publish these photos on the web and photo books so that many people can see this wonderful sight, and to protect the fireflies.
Shooting "Himebotaru" is difficult, and it is common to lighten and combine multiple photos, but I was able to take a single shot by devising the exposure time.
